Statement from Harborough Building Society.

“At Market Harborough BS we’re deeply committed to supporting the wellbeing of people in our local communities, so I’m delighted to be working with HAB Anti-bullying & Mental Health to support their vital counselling services.   Alongside our donation we’re pleased to be able to offer the HAB team a safe space in our fantastic new head office to hold their events, whilst our colleagues will be volunteering their time towards this very worthy cause.  This fantastic partnership brings our teams together to create a nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.”  Lesley Vernon, Chief Engagement Officer, Market Harborough Building society.

HAB-ANTIBULLYING AND MENTAL HEALTH are delighted to have received a cheque from the Market  Harborough Building Society for £7000! These funds will all go to our counselling grants.

* counselling grants are used for anyone going through bullying issues, mental health, bereavement, domestic abuse and disabilities. We cover the Harborough district area and surrounds with discretion from the team further afield.

* HAB pay all costs to independent counsellors. These costs are between £50-£70 an hour with the average counselling grant being 6 sessions or more.

* offers counselling to people who can not access this much-needed service any other way, i.e., a huge NHS waiting list and the cost of living crisis.

* Hab are busier than ever and the support from Harborough Building society ensures we have vital funds to continue supporting people who need it the most.

* We also hope to run mediation sessions from the Market Harborough Building Society with one of the independent counsellors. This is free of charge. The venue is a beautiful and friendly space, and their ethos on well-being and communities is fantastic.

CASTLE LANE

When Habby made a visit to Castle Lane

Castle Lane fundraises for Harborough Against Bullying

by Castle Lane Day Nursery | Sep 5, 2024 | Nursery News

Castle Lane made great use of its recent graduation ceremony for its Pre-school Room children to fundraise for much loved local charity HAB Anti-bullying & Mental Health.

A Registered Charity (number 1185297), HAB was founded in November 2011 by Marie Connor after her disabled son was beaten up on anti-bullying week. What started out as a Facebook discussion page soon turned into a charity which support adults and children across the UK experiencing bullying and mental health issues.

All HAB’s services are FREE of charge, fully confidential and aim to provide support within a 7-day window or sooner.

Castle Lane raised £225 to go towards HAB’s work. And following on from this generous donation, HAB’s mascot ‘Habby’ popped into the setting to meet the children.

Castle Lane Co-owner Harriet Gray commented “We are passionate about working with the local community and HAB Anti-bullying & Mental Health is a fantastic charity which supports local children, families and the wider community. This is a relationship that we will would love to see grow and develop.”

If you would like to support HAB Anti-bullying & Mental Health you can do so by visiting their fundraising page.

Letting everyone know what we do and how we can support adults & children. Unfortunately due to the weather Habby was unable to make an appearance. But watch this space we have more events to attend !
